Driving west of Athens for three and a half hours to visit the stadium and the museum of the city of Ancient Olympia. Every visitor are familiar with the bearthplace of the Olympic games. About 800km both ways trip we advice you to make this trip in two days.

Olympia was a city of ancient Greece in Elia, known as the venue for the Olympic Games in classical times, comparable in importance to the Pythian Games held in Delphi. Olympia was the gold and ivory statue of Zeus by Pheidias, which was known in ancient times as one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The origins of the Olympic Games dating back to 776 BC and held every four years. In 394 AD Byzantine Emperor Theodosius A, banned the marriage because they were considered as pagan.

The Archaeological Museum of Olympia is one of the most important museums in Greece and exhibits archaeological finds from the archaeological site of Olympia. Of the total, priceless exhibits significant is the report of the sculpture, which is mainly known museum, and the collection of bronze objects, which are the richest in the world and consists of weapons, statuettes and other objects, and in particular important are the findings of great pottery.

Patra is the capital of the prefecture of Achaia, the Region of Western Greece and the largest urban center and port of the Peloponnese.  The city of Patras was also the European Capital of Culture for 2006.

Must see for the visitors is Achaia Clauss tower. The Tower of Achaia Clauss is the first Greek winery built in 1861 and today produces some of the most famous Greek wines. In places, the visitor can admire the lush greenery, historical buildings, woodcarvings barrels aging since 1873 the famous Mavrodaphne as well, Cellar of lady Daniilida, taste some of the fine wines of Achaia Clauss.

Ancient Corinth was an important city-state of ancient Greece. Checking an area corresponding to the east of the prefecture of Corinthia in the northeast of the prefecture of Argolis. Sicyon bordered to the west by the Megarians in the east, to the southwest of Argos and Epidaurus in the south. Ancient Corinth controlled the pivotal position of the Isthmus, and was the most important trading center of the ancient world, until away from Athens. Corinth was considered the richest city of the ancient world.
